A little bit of everything

The arrival by car:

-    By ferry-boat from Brestova (Istria) to Porozine (Island of Cres),   or                                       -    By ferry-boat from Valbiska (Island of Krk) to Merag (Island of Cres).

The climate:

Thanks to the mild climate Mali Lošinj and Veli Lošinj since 1892 are known as climatic-sanatory-centers for lung-illnesses. Lošinj is, because of its crystal-cleer bays and 2600 sunny hours in the year, the ideal Island for bathing-guests and pleasent holidays. The average air-temperature in summertime is 24°C und the sea-temperature 23°C. Tranquility and relax are guaranteed in every season of the year, since there are several chilometars of walking pathways along the skyblue bays and in the interior of the island.

The vegetation:

The Island has a rich mediterranean vegetation with vast pinewoods, palmen, zypresses, orange- and lemontrees, bouganvillas, oleandres, ....

The events:

In the last years the Board of Tourism, the Municipality, the private enterprises and the hotels of the island have done very much for the guests. In Osor every year festivals of classic music are organized. The Town of Lošinj organizes evenings of serenades, pop-music koncerts and various folcloristic programs on the main square, in the center of the town, but there are also the disco, the casino, etc.

The food:

You won't be dissapointed by the art of cooking, especially speaking of fish and seafruits, but there are also pizzeria-s, restaurants, fast-food, etc.
